Taking in the view, a catch-up over coffee, or deep dive into our shipbuilding history. Whatever your plans, time at Buckler's Hard is in your hands.
Once a thriving shipbuilding village where ships for Nelson's fleet at Trafalgar were built, now Buckler's Hard is a tranquil haven, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of modern life.
The grounds of Buckler's Hard village, Shipwright's Cottage, St Mary's Chapel, and The Captain's Table are free for everyone to visit. For those arriving by car, a small parking charge applies.
Whether you're just stopping by for a coffee at The Captain's Table, or want to make a day of it - our flexible new parking system allows you to relax in the knowledge that you only pay for the time you're here, whilst helping us maintain this fascinating heritage site.
With the use of specialist ANPR technology, visitors can pay before leaving by entering their number plate at the onsite pay points, or via the Glide parking app on their smartphone. Cash and card payments are both accepted.
