New Woodland Walk
As you stroll along the new Woodland Walk you will discover how the local timber at Buckler’s Hard was used in the 18th and 19th centuries to construct ships for the British Navy. The walk shows you many of the tree species that were used in the building of ships for Nelson’s Navy and how the various types of wood were used by those who lived and worked at Buckler’s Hard.
